Water Export Controls and Canadian International Trade Obligations

Legal Opinion Commissioned by the Council of Canadians

In 1999, the Council of Canadians commissioned Steven Shrybman (then Executive Director of the West Coast Environmental Law Association) to provide a legal opinion on the trade implication of bulk water exports, specifically in relation to NAFTA and the WTO.
