Having recently returned from the 5th Ministerial Meeting of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Cancun, Mexico (September 10-14), I wanted to share my experiences and observations while they are still fresh in my mind and my heart.

The Council of Canadians had an 18-person delegation to Cancun, consisting of staff, Board members and chapter volunteers.

We joined other Canadians from labour, development, human rights and environmental organizations with whom we worked closely in one of the most extraordinary weeks of our lives.
