Resources: Peace

Ceasefire.ca   Ceasefire.ca is an initiative whose mission it is to provide people with Web-based tools to take political action and promote peace, disarmament and social justice.
Department of Peace   The Canadian Department of Peace Initiative seeks to establish a Department and Minister of Peace in Canada to change the dynamic of debate and decision-making in Cabinet and Parliament towards a culture of peace and non-violence at home and abroad
Department of Peace   The Council of Canadians is a proud sponsor of The Canadian School of Peacebuilding (CSOP), a program of the Canadian Mennonite University, that has been created to serve practitioners, professionals, activists, students, non-governmental organizations and faith-based groups engaged in peacebuilding. The school’s goal is to “serve peacebuilders around the world by bringing them together in a collaborative learning community, nurturing and equipping them for various forms of peace practice and exposing them to some of the most significant, emerging ideas and teachers in the field.”

The Canadian Peace Alliance (CPA) is Canada's largest umbrella peace organization. Since its foundation in 1985 the organization has been helping member groups to act as a broad network, in order to provide a strong, coordinated voice for peace issues at the national level.

War Resisters’ Support Campaign is a broad-based coalition of community, faith, labour and other organizations and individuals that have come together to support U.S. soldiers seeking asylum in Canada because they refuse to fight in the illegal war in Iraq.

Mines Action Canada (MAC), a coalition of Canadian non-governmental organizations, is an international leader working to eliminate the serious humanitarian, environmental and development consequences of landmines and other explosive remnants of war (ERW).

Operation Objection is a Canada-wide counter-recruitment campaign to reclaim our educational institutions for peace and the interests of students from those who would co-opt them for war.

Physicians for Global Survival (PGS) is the Canadian affiliate of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW), which is the only international medical organization dedicated to preventing nuclear war
