Council Web Sites

http://www.canadians.org

Want the most current information on the Council of Canadians’ campaigns, events and activities? Our web site, www.canadians.org, is an interesting and interactive way to stay informed.

  • The “News” section highlights our most recent press releases, as well as articles by Maude Barlow, Murray Dobbin and other activists.
  • "Features” contains links to upcoming events, on-line actions, new publications, and more.
  • “Take Action” allows you to fax your Member of Parliament, e-mail cabinet ministers and sign on-line petitions.
  • “Join/Donate” helps you fill out an on-line form to join the Council of Canadians. (Current Council members can also use this section to update their addresses after a move or change the amount they donate each month.)
  • “Keep Informed” enables you to join our e-mail list or receive copies of our press releases, articles on our campaigns and notices of upcoming events.

http://www.blueplanetproject.net

Early this year, the Council of Canadians’ Blue Planet Project released its new four-language web site. You can select English, French, Spanish or Portuguese, and access the whole web site in this language.

  • The “Treaty” section contains the full text of our Treaty Initiative to Share and Protect the Global Water Commons, and an Indigenous Declaration on Water.
  • “Action” outlines our Plan of Action to Protect the Global Water Commons.
  • “Resources” outlines a wealth of water-related information. All publications listed are free to download, as are video and audio clips. In addition, we are working to upgrade our “stay informed” option so that you will soon be able to subscribe to receive media releases, information on events and campaign updates in the language of your choice.
  • “Events” highlights past and upcoming events.
  • “Links” allows you to connect with our growing list of more than 25 worldwide partner organizations.
