Canada’s first Blue Community to be announced on World Water Day

WHAT: Tomorrow on World Water Day, the Council of Canadians and the Canadian Union of Public Employees will present an award to a Canadian city for becoming the first Blue Community in Canada.

WHERE: City Hall, 4949 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC

WHEN: 7pm (PST), Monday, March 21, 2011

A Blue Community is one that treats water as belonging to no one, and the responsibility of all. The Council of Canadians and the Canadian Union of Public Employees are hopeful this will be the first of many Blue Communities across Canada.
