Conference aims to turn the tide toward a just economy
Saint John, NB – On October 23 and 24 the Council of Canadians will host a conference at the Hilton Saint John (at One Market Square) to press for solutions to the economic crisis, as part of its 24th Annual General Meeting. ‘Turning the Tide: A just economy for people and the planet’ will shine a spotlight on alternative visions for our economic future – ideas that focus not on market projections, cyclical recoveries and corporate profits, but on people, the environment and democracy.
