Homeland Security, borders and interoperability

Description

Through a comparative review of the key components of the Canada-U.S. Smart Border Action Plan, and of the border security infrastructure already in place in the European Community, this workshop will examine the integrated border security regime being deployed as part of the North American Security Perimeter. The discussion will focus on the impacts of these measures on sovereignty, the rights of migrants, and on the rights and freedoms of all Canadians.
