Atlantica, the SPP and Super Corridors
Description
This workshop will explore the nature of Atlantica as a political-economic concept within the broader umbrella of the SPP, NAFTA super corridors and North American integration. By unmasking the globalist doublespeak framing the integration debate, looking at the failures of corporate globalization, NAFTA and the multiple negative impacts of the SPP, and by examining local alternatives, this workshop will visualize a positive, sustainable future for Atlantic Canada. Examples of emerging alternatives include the new SAVAM group in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, food security developments in the region and an initiative in the Boston area to present alternative sustainable participatory political-economic models.
