http://www.tulipfestival.ca/en/Celeb_Events/
“We close Celebridée with a fascinating evening devoted to 'Ideas of Hope.' In a complex and troubled world seemingly filled with turmoil, strife, and massive inequality, all against a backdrop of rampant pollution and resource depletion, what are the ideas in which we can take hope? A broad panel of some of the most engaged Canadian thinkers will join in this lively discussion including Ed Broadbent and Maude Barlow. Maude Barlow is the National Chairperson of The Council of Canadians, Canada’s largest public advocacy organization, and the co-founder of the Blue Planet Project, an organization that is working internationally for the right to water. Ed Broadbent is one of the most admired and respected politicians in the history of Canada. Eighteen-year-old Nicholas Pullen has won numerous prizes and medals both nationally and internationally for debating and public speaking. Maclean’s columnist Paul Wells is one of Canada’s most influential and widely-read journalists. ”
