Bridgewater

Saturday, December 12 - Candlelight vigil - Join a group of local concerned citizens (not just from Bridgewater, but from across the South Shore), for a candle light vigil outside Gerald Keddy's office (MP South Shore - St. Margarets) in Bridgewater.

We'll light candles, sing songs, and send a message that the South Shore supports all efforts for an ambitious, fair, and binding global agreement on climate change at the Copenhagen negotiations this weekend. Click here for details, and here for our successful 350 day of action back in October.

Time: 5:30-6:00 p.m. at the Aberdeen Commercial Centre, 129 Aberdeen Rd, Bridgewater
What to bring: warm clothing, candles, ideas for songs, and bright spirits.

Brampton

Saturday, December 12 - Candlelight vigil - Peel chapter taking part. Open to all, will take place on from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Garden Square, outside Brampton's Rose Theatre, at the corner of Main and Queen Streets. Participants are requested to bring candles or battery operated lights and to assist by grouping for photos to be posted the next day on the AVAAZ around-the-world event website.

Brockville

Saturday, December 12 - Candlelight vigil - 6:30-7:00 p.m. Outside the city hall in Brockville. Bring signs and candles. All welcome. In coalition with the Brockville Climate Action Group.

Calgary

Saturday, December 12 - Candlelight vigil - 5:00-6:00 p.m. at 1199 Kensington Rd, in front of Plaza cinema.

Charlottetown

Friday, December 11 - Candlelight vigil - 5:00 p.m.at Grafon Street and University Avenue.
Cobourg

Saturday, December 12 - Candlelight vigil - 6:00 p.m. in front of Victoria Hall, King St.

Comox Valley Saturday, December 12 - Candlelight vigil - Joining with other  local groups to meet at 5:30-6:15 p.m. at the Sid Williams Fountain in Courtenay.
Cowichan Saturday, December 12 - Candlelight vigil - 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Duncan City Square with Carbon Busters.

Delta/Richmond

Saturday, December 12 - Candlelight vigil - Westham Square (in front of Johnny's Store at the corner of Elliott Street and Ladner Trunk Road) between 5:30-6:00 p.m. For more info Cathy 604 946 0877.

Niagara-on-the-Lake

Saturday, December 12 - Candlelight vigil - 5:30-6:00 p.m. at St. Mark s Church, 41 Byron Street (facing Simcoe Park, opposite the Prince of Wales Hotel). The bells of St. Mark's will ring 350 times. Bring your candles (or a flashlight -- it's windy!) and dress warmly. Coffee/tea in the church hall afterwards. South-Niagara Chapter wtih 350.org Niagara.

Peterborough and Kawarthas

Chapter participating in six events with local activist partners - strongly linking, using several actions including the Bill Hynd Climate Change Christmas Song, Climate Change with U.N. Human Rights Day, thus a safe environment as a human right.

Saturday, December 12 - Vigil for Climate change - 12:00 p.m. at the Wynyard Unitarian Church (corner of Bosworth Street and Avenue D)
A short vigil marking the international day of action, and remembering long-time fighter for environmental and social justice, Isabel Muzichuk, will be held in conjunction with the meeting of the Quill Plains Chapter of the Council of Canadians.
