Council chapters take their message to the streets – and to communities all over Canada
The Council of Canadians relies on a network of over 70 volunteer chapters from across Canada to promote our national campaigns, act as local watchdogs, and promote social and economic justice on a day-to-day basis. This section features profiles of some of the Council’s chapters, highlighting the amazing work that they are doing in their communities.

Michaele Kustudic is a long-time member of the Council of Canadians and has
been the contact person for the Annapolis Valley Chapter for the past nine years.
She has put extensive effort into organizing her local chapter, working with the
rest of the members of the chapter’s Steering Committee to develop effective communication plans, host tours on issues such as trade, water and uranium mining, and encourage people to get involved in local issues. Read more about this chapter and their success »

At the beginning of August 2009 provincial premiers gathered in Regina, Saskatchewan,
for the Council of the Federation meeting. Social justice and environmental groups were there as the premiers discussed climate, energy and trade issues. Groups delivered a strong message in favour of real climate change targets and plans to ensure clean energy security for Canada. Read more regional chapter action updates from across the country »
