ACTION ALERT: Ask your local farmer about possible GM sweet corn in Ontario

Bookmark and Share

The Canadian Biotechnology Action Network (CBAN) and the Ecological Farmers of Ontario (EFAO) have confirmed that genetically modified sweet corn is being grown by farmers in Ontario who are selling at roadside stands, at farmers’ markets, and through some local grocery stores.

For more info and ways to take action, including tips on what to ask your local farmer visit CBAN's website here.

The Council of Canadians has released notices and action alerts about the issue in the past. Please see the below blogs for more information.
