The federal election is an important time to lobby politicians on the issues that are important to you. Political candidates are likely to make promises while on the campaign trail, and will be more receptive to your questions and demands.

FEDERAL ELECTION 2008: QUESTIONS FOR CANDIDATES
The election provides a great opportunity to get future Members of Parliament on record about important issues. By asking questions, you can help press candidates to make real promises. Keep a record of what candidates have to say on the campaign trail so we can hold politicians to their promises after the election.

Elections provide an excellent opportunity for Council activists to get their message out. Chapters have a unique ability to work with local media outlets, building relationships with reporters, and ensuring that issues such as continental integration, fair trade, public health, energy and water don't get lost in the fray.
HOW TO ORGANIZE AN ALL-CANDIDATES MEETING
Federal elections are an important time to lobby politicians on the issues that matter to you. Political candidates are likely to make promises and commitments while on the campaign trail, and are often more open to your questions and demands. One of the best ways to find out about candidates, and to get their promises on record during the elections, is to hold an all-candidates meeting in your neighbourhood.
